What can you do?
People you come across as part of your work may have a problem with gambling. Here are some simple things you can do:
Help
- Identify with the person or family member if there is a concern around gambling
- Provide them with some information about problem gambling
- Refer them on to a problem gambling service
Get involved
A number of community action groups have been established to address gambling harm in your community and there are a range of ways you could be involved. You could:
- Join an existing group
- Put problem gambling on the agenda of other community groups you are involved in
- Start your own group.
